Utility Bridge Crossing Almeda Road @ Brays Bayou

Project Scope

Construction of 265’ utility bridge over Brays Bayou, Harris County Texas. Bridge will provide for a 4” and 16”?steel high pressure gas lines crossing Brays Bayou.? Project consisted of the drilling and pouring of four 42” drill shafts, 20 feet in depth and?transitioning to 30” columns with caps to support the utility bridge. ?The bridge was fabricated and assembled at Boyer’s facility and transported to the jobsite for placement on columns.? The largest section of bridge was 95’ in length?with two sections at 85’. Due to the location of the utility bridge located in Houston Medical Center, traffic mobility was a major concern. Once all traffic closures were in place the bridge sections were lifted off the transport trucks and placed the four columns in less than four hours.
