Project Scope
Transition Two Houston Center cooling demands from the buildings existing chilled water system to CenTrio Energy chilled water system supplied for Union Station Chilled Water Plant in Downtown Houston. Project consisted of the following Three (3) Phases: Civil: Construct 18’diamenter liner plate shaft on McKinney Street to intercept existing CenTrio Energy 30” DCS/R. Land 16” DCS/R lines into basement of Two Houston Center through duel 4’x 4’ wood box tunnels. Demolition: Demolished three (3) existing water chilling units and ancillary equipment per construction sequencing. Final demolition to abandon and remove existing cooling tower on Level 39 once new District Cooling Heat Exchangers are operational. ?Mechanical/Electrical: Place new 16” insulated supply and return lines to three (3) newly install?plate and frame heat exchangers with supporting electrical and instrumentation. Pre-start procedures consisting of the training of?building personnel on components, sub-systems and the overall system.
