Project Scope
Project consisted of a new SS Integrated Power Assembly Building installed on concrete drill piers to replace an existing outdoor Motor Control Center. Installation of 3 new 12,470V-480V Unit Substation Transformers and Medium Voltage Switches installed on new concrete foundations/platforms to replace 12 pole top transformers. New Main-Tie-Main Switchboard with future generator provisions and 4 new Motor Control Centers for future plant expansions. DTB Pump Station upgrades consisting of the installation of two new 6-ton Bard wall mounted A/C units, removal of existing A/C equipment, removal of three existing 150 HP VFDS and replaced with three new 300 HP VFDs for new 300 HP DTB Pumps. Installations of new underground electrical duct banks, drilled slurry foundations, above ground conduit, cable tray, 120–480-volt wiring, 15KV wiring and additional site lighting. PLC migration scope consisted of replacement of plant?PLCs and reorganizing existing field terminals and?wiring while keeping the existing PLCs and?plant processes online. This work was accomplished by identifying?groups of signals where systems could be managed in hand operation or taken out of service for short periods of time. We worked closely with plant operations for orderly shutdowns when necessary. We?assisted with signal testing on the?new PLCs while migrating signals and removing original PLCs.?Space in the existing panels was reclaimed for the new PLCs while?field terminals and?wiring were?reorganized. Work was completed with minimal impact to the facility
