Project Scope

This project consisted of the complete replacement of an existing 1200 Amp electrical service and underground service lateral in the City of Galveston, including engineering, permitting, utility coordination, material procurement, and construction. Work included preparation of CAD electrical drawings, coordination and approvals with the City of Galveston and CenterPoint Energy, site investigation, and project management. Boyer provided temporary power via mobile generator, scheduled utility shutdowns, demolition of existing service equipment, installation of new 1200 Amp service infrastructure, and verification of proper voltage and phase rotation prior to energization. Additionally, the project included removal and replacement of underground conduits and service conductors between the CenterPoint service pole and metering location, installation of new conduit systems and copper conductors, and final reconnection to utility power in compliance with NEC, municipal, and utility standards.
