Project Scope

Lower 141 LF of existing 30” intake barrels 30’ into Lake Granbury and install 30’ of 30” intake barrels that will supply water to the Exelon Power Plant even in low lake levels.  Prior to lowering the intake barrels, 2 new 36” piers were drilled and poured, along with a 26’x4’ beam cap to support the lowered structure.  Support was provided for the removal and reinstallation of 3 pump and motor assemblies.  The scope included removal, cleaning and repairing (2) 8’x14’ Intake screens, as well as installing 1 new 8’x14’ Intake screen and extending cathodic protection.  Diver support was needed to successfully complete the project.
