Project Scope

Boyer lined 11,800 LF of existing 72” Sanitary Sewer using the Danby PVC Liner.  The rehabilitation process consisted of four basic steps. Step 1: Hydro blasting the walls of existing pipe to ?remove grit, grime and loose deteriorated concrete. Step 2: Place reinforcement steel in any location where steel was deteriorated or missing. Step 3: Install Danby PVC Lining System by spiraling liner into place approximately 4” smaller than host pipe. Step 4: Install high strength (5000 psi) structural grout in the annular space between liner and host pipe. As a part of the post installation acceptance testing Boyer has to perform GPR (Ground Penetrating radar) test to make sure there are no voids in the grout and the annular space is full of grout. The Grouted-In-Place-Lining rehabilitation using the Danby PVC liner enhanced the service life of the existing 62” Sanitary sewer by at least 50 years.
