City of Houston issued EPO (Emergency Purchase Order) to abandon in?place an existing 42” concrete sanitary sewer that add multiple failures from existing MH No. 1 to the existing junction box outside of the effluent lift station. ?A 42” HOBAS Pipe was placed adjacent to the existing 42” concrete sanitary sewer for a distance of 670 LF at a depth of 32’. Means and methods were open cut and jack and tunnel due to utilities in the plant. The plant remained in full operation therefore a bypass system was put in place to handle sewage from MH No. 1 to the effluent lift station. In addition, due to the depth, a dewatering system ran the length of the repair to handle ground water which was at a depth of 30’. The junction box was relined with a raven epoxy while the by-pass system was running.?? ?
