Project Scope

Boyer installed approximately 4,138LF of 60” diameter Sanitary Sewer using Micro-Tunneling, 431LF of 60” diameter Sanitary Sewer using Direct Jack Hand Mine, and 516LF of 54” Sanitary Sewer using Tunnel Boring machine. Installation of 24’ diameter tunnel shafts 55’ deep, installation of large diameter manholes ranging from 10’ to 20’ and 55’ deep, Abandonment of Alief Central Lift Station, and grouting of 3,000LF of 16” Force Main. The project was started in October 2020 and was completed in August 2022. The longest tunnel run on this project was 1,545’ long and one shaft had to be constructed around an existing live 48” sanitary sewer to be tied into a manhole to be installed on this project.
